Everyday life, transformed into art and prints

Turning little ideas, moments, and inspirations into artworks, prints, and things worth keeping. That's exactly what I've always had in mind.

Welcome to AtelierZacari, I'm so glad you're here for my first blog post.

Even as a little girl, I was a real bookworm. I loved immersing myself in stories, writing down my thoughts, and letting my imagination run wild. Not much has changed since then. I still love capturing the little, often unnoticed moments of life, giving them my own words, and turning them into something memorable. Visual storytelling is part of that too.

I still remember a particular moment in Japan. A good friend's mother had come to the station with us to say goodbye. We were already in a hurry and walking quickly because we didn't want to miss the last train.

And then we noticed it: she was still wearing her stained apron.

We completely lost it laughing. We laughed so hard, but couldn't stop, and kept running towards the station with stomach cramps. The whole situation was simply wonderfully absurd. It was such a small, unexpected moment, but the image and her face have been etched into my memory forever. I still remember exactly when I sat down on the last train from Sagamihara to Yokohama and said to my partner: Honey, I want to draw this image one day.

That's exactly the kind of thing I love.

Not the big, perfect moments. But the little ones that happen somewhere in between. A funny detail, a place, a person, something you only see for a few seconds, but somehow keep in your memory for years.

AtelierZacari was born from this feeling.

After years of working in multimedia, photography, and visual communication, I wanted a space where I could simply pursue these ideas because they made me happy. I could take a photo, make a sketch, remember a moment, and turn it into something visual.

Sometimes an idea comes from a place I visited. Sometimes from something funny I saw. Sometimes it's just a tiny detail that gets stuck in my head.

I especially love turning these ideas into prints, because that gives these little moments a life of their own. Something that once only existed for a few seconds can become an illustration on the wall, something you see every day and maybe even share with someone.

My work is inspired by everyday life, travel, photography, design, and all the little things that make me pause and think: I have to remember this. And a second later, I'm pulling out my notebook.

AtelierZacari is the place where I turn these thoughts into something lasting.

And maybe over time, one of my little moments will also become part of yours.

Welcome to my little world, and I'm so glad you're here.

Lots of love,
Aristea
